“I don’t just talk, I roll up my sleeves and get to work, purposefully and collaborative on all levels. The result? Meaningful, transformational work gets done.

A Representative for All

The proof is in the pudding, as my grandmother used to say. In 2019, I was overwhelmingly elected to serve the people of Pepperell: 75% of the people in all three precincts thoughtI was the one.” That’s because I know full well the value of representing every single person in my community.

I have done that every day that I have served on the Select Board. I have done that every day that I have served my community as a volunteer.

I represent my community on giant issues. I step up to lead the fight against a multi-billion dollar gas pipeline corporation or a mega-scale toxic dirt project.

I represent my community on close-to-home issues. I help lead the charge for a safe environment for our first responders to work in and I secure thousands of dollars in grants to help revitalize the Main Street Corridor in Pepperell. I work to make affordable housing a reality and I lead by example by adopting and achieving Master Plan goals as Chair of the Pepperell Select Board.

When COVID hit, and we were all shut-in, I had an idea to show the people of Pepperell – front-line workers, children stuck at home, frazzled parents, and lonely seniors – that they were cared about. I gathered friends and we painted signs to put up all around town. The TY Pepperell Heroes” project was also born!

I don’t just talk about ideas and concerns: I roll up my sleeves and get to work. I work purposefully and collaboratively on all levels to engage communities. The result? Meaningful, transformational work gets done, and I will get this work done for the First Middlesex communities.

“The First Middlesex needs a representative who can devote all of her energies to helping towns, and I am that representative.”

My Commitments to You

Commitment #1:  I will be a leader for the First Middlesex District

I am running to be your state representative because I have found, over and over, that people throughout this district sincerely care about issues, and, more importantly, they want to partner with someone who will roll up their sleeves and work with them to solve those issues.

The tricky thing about issues is that they are rarely one dimensional: They’re connected to other issues and affect other people. It takes a leader to unpack issues and bring people together to determine a way forward. I have shown this ability consistently, steadfastly, and passionately for many years now, including most publicly, through my work on the Pepperell Select Board and as a volunteer in my community. I am that leader.

Commitment #2: I will be a dedicated, full-time representative for the people of the First Middlesex District.

I am running to be your representative because First Middlesex deserves full-time representation, not only for constituency services, but for constituency access, including regular office hours in all six towns.

First Middlesex needs a representative who can devote all of her energies to helping towns overcome their challenges, and provide the leadership to foster collaborations between towns: I commit to you that I am that representative -- Purposeful, Committed, Capable, Collaborative, Engaged, and Genuine.

I would like to say I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work for the First Middlesex, but the truth is, my sleeves have been rolled up and working hard for a long time now, resulting in a long list of community-centered accomplishments.

This work requires commitment, this work requires courage, and this work requires heart, and I am running to be your representative because I have all of these in abundance. When you elect me, you elect a proven, dedicated leader, and I will be honored to continue my record of service for the First Middlesex District.
