Voting Information

Whether you plan to vote early or on September 1, making a plan to vote and following the important deadlines below will ensure your vote for Margaret Scarsdale counts this fall.

Key Deadlines

Primary Election Day: Tuesday, September 1 (polls are open from 7AM to 8PM)

Last Day to Register to Vote in the State Primary: Saturday, August 22, 2026. Register or confirm your registration here.

Last Day to Return Your Primary Election Vote by Mail Application: Tuesday, August 25, 2026

Primary Election Early Voting Period: Saturday, August 22 to Friday, August 29

Last Day to Return Your Primary Election Vote by Mail Ballot: All ballots must be received by September 1 at the close of the polls.

Vote by Mail

Vote by Mail applications have been mailed to every voter in the First Middlesex District. Once you receive your ballot in the mail, fill it out and return it using one of the following methods:

1. Follow all instructions and mail it back in the envelope provided – postage is prepaid

2. Follow all instructions and hand deliver it to your local election office or drop boxes

3. Follow all instructions and drop it off at an early voting location during early voting hours (see early voting location information below)

Reminder: Ballots cannot be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day. You will have to vote in person. Your primary election ballot must reach your local election office or drop box by close of polls on Election Day in order to be counted. Be sure to submit it as soon as possible so you can guarantee your vote for Margaret will count!
